Terms of Service
Updated 2026-07-22
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Fantasy Forgeworks at fantasyforgeworks.com (the “Service”), including the storefront, downloads, account features, browser extension, and Foundry VTT module. By using the Service or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Fantasy Forgeworks is operated from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada (1025 King Street East Unit 107 #1693, Cambridge, ON N3H 3P5). Contact: [email protected].
The Service
Fantasy Forgeworks sells and grants access to digital VTT (virtual tabletop) tokens, packs, and bundles: AI-assisted assets that we human-curate before publication. These are finished, VTT-ready catalog assets—not traditional hand-illustrated commissions—and quality or availability may vary. Purchases are processed through Stripe Checkout. Optional Patreon membership can grant pack entitlements and commercial-use rights as described on our How It Works page.
Eligibility
You must be the age of majority in your place of residence (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) to create an account or make a purchase. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Accounts
You may create an account using supported sign-in methods (for example Discord, Google, or email magic link). You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create chargeback / fraud risk.
Digital Asset License
Tokens, packs, and bundles sold or granted through Fantasy Forgeworks are licensed digital goods. Buying or receiving access grants you a license to use the files under these Terms; it does not transfer ownership of Fantasy Forgeworks’ rights in the catalog.
Personal use, included with every store purchase and every Patreon tier: use the tokens in your own tabletop games, streams, and personal campaigns. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share the raw asset files. Store a-la-carte purchases grant personal use only.
Commercial use means using tokens in a product you sell or monetize (for example a published adventure, paid module, or monetized VTT content) and requires the Commercial Patreon tier or another commercial grant we expressly provide. That commercial license covers packs released while you hold the entitlement, as described on How It Works. When a Commercial Patreon entitlement ends, keep-what-you-got download access for packs from months you paid remains as described on How It Works, but commercial-use rights end with the entitlement unless another grant applies.
Licenses are revocable if you materially breach these Terms, if a payment is refunded or charged back, or if an entitlement ends where the grant was time- or membership-bound. Patreon “keep what you got” pack access for months you paid remains as described on How It Works, subject to these Terms.
Purchases, pricing, and refunds
Prices may change at any time. Cart totals are recomputed server-side at checkout. You authorize Stripe to charge the amount shown at checkout.
Catalog items are digital goods delivered immediately (or granted as downloadable entitlements). By completing a purchase you request immediate access. Except where required by law, all sales are final once ownership or access is granted. Where consumer withdrawal or cooling-off rights exist (for example in the EEA or UK), you acknowledge that you lose those rights once download or access begins, to the extent the law allows that acknowledgment. If a download fails, a grant is missing, or you were charged in error, contact [email protected] and we will work to fix access or, at our discretion, issue a refund.
A full refund or successful chargeback may revoke the related ownership or entitlements. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting support may result in account suspension.
If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical or system error, we may refuse or cancel the order and refund any charge already made.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or publicly share raw token/pack files except as allowed by a valid commercial license
- Circumvent paywalls, download limits, watermarking, or access controls
- Scrape, bulk-harvest, or automate downloading of the catalog beyond normal personal use
- Reverse engineer the Service to steal assets or disrupt operations
- Misuse the Service for fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity
- Remove or obscure Fantasy Forgeworks proprietary notices on materials where required
Intellectual property
The website, branding, software, text, and other non-catalog materials are owned by Fantasy Forgeworks or its licensors and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. Catalog tokens, packs, and bundles are AI-assisted digital assets offered under the Digital Asset License above. You may not copy or redistribute Service materials except as these Terms expressly allow.
Feedback you send us may be used by Fantasy Forgeworks without compensation or attribution.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments), Supabase (auth and database), Patreon (memberships), Discord and Google (sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting/storage), and Resend (email). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services linked from Fantasy Forgeworks.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fantasy Forgeworks’ total liability arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific purchase giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) CAD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those cases, the above applies only to the fullest extent permitted.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Fantasy Forgeworks and its officers, employees, and agents harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of a third party’s rights.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: (a) your contact details; (b) identification of the work and the allegedly infringing material; (c) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and (d) a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the owner.
Changes and termination
We may modify the Service or these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we will post an updated date on this page and, where practical, provide notice through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, or your access, at any time for maintenance, abuse, legal risk, or business reasons.
If the online Service is discontinued, licenses already granted for files you lawfully downloaded continue for personal use (and for commercial use only if a commercial entitlement was valid when you relied on it), subject to these Terms. Online hosting, account features, and new downloads may end.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable consumer rights in your jurisdiction, the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, and you and Fantasy Forgeworks consent to venue there.
Before filing a claim, email a brief notice of dispute to [email protected] and allow 30 days for informal resolution.
General
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase-specific notices we present at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Fantasy Forgeworks regarding the Service. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
